Having worked in the high tech industry, Noirin Foy made a career change to mathematics education in 2009. She has taught middle school math and is now a middle school math instructional coach in Los Altos, California. She believes that students learn best in a language-rich classroom environment where they are supported in sense making, questioning, and explaining verbally and in writing. She hold a B.S. in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin and a Master’s degree in Digital Media and Learning from the University of San Francisco.
