I used to struggle with math and avoided it at all cost. While I was teaching 6th grade I began to realize how fun it was to teach mathematics. I enjoyed helping students because I could put myself in their shoes. I decided I wanted to be a math teacher so I got my Math endorsement and also got a masters degree in Mathematics Education for the Middle Grades. I was then hired to teach 7th and 8th grade math and have loved it ever sense. I understand the students struggles and I am so passionate about mathematics education. In order to be interesting you have to first be interested!
