Brian Smith grew up in Charlottesville, Va., attended Cornell University, and double-majored in Archaeology and Anthropology. After graduating from college, he joined Teach for America to teach high school Science in Zuni, NM. He’s been teaching on and off ever since, including middle school science, high school math, and computer science. He recently received his Master’s in Education from the College of St. Scholastica, with a certificate in Computer Science Education. Brian loves teaching, especially all the problem solving and applications that are involved in computer science. He grew up writing programs in BASIC, and these days mostly works with C# and the Unity engine. When he’s not teaching or otherwise occupied with school duties, he enjoys film and digital photography, origami, brewing beer, building and launching high-power model rockets, and playing video games. He lives with his wife, Caitlin, and son Raymond in Santa Fe.
