Allyson Goode is passionate about bridging the academic achievement gaps that exist between the growing populations of English Language Learners (ELLs) and native English speakers. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree In Middle Grades Education from Georgia Southern University. She is certified to teach in the state of Georgia in the areas of Middle Grades Math, Middle Grades Science, and English to Speakers of Other Languages. She began her teaching career in 2013 at Freedom Middle School serving students of the very diverse city of Clarkston, GA. Allyson has spent the last 5 years teaching English Language Learners (ELLs) from all over the world. She currently serves the 6th grade Intensive English Program in Dekalb County, GA at Freedom Middle School as the ESL Math teacher. In just a few short years in education, she has become a model teacher, and a teacher leader who continues to help mentor other teachers who teach ELLs.
